Draft — not yet in force. This page still needs: effective date, postal address, governing law.

Privacy Policy

Effective [TO BE COMPLETED — effective date]

This policy explains what flexmathews.com collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It describes what the site actually does — not a generic template.

Who we are

This site is the official website of the artist Flex Mathews. For anything in this policy, contact contact@hiphop.world or write to [TO BE COMPLETED — full postal address].

What we collect

When you contact us or send a booking enquiry

The press and booking forms collect your name, your email address, and what you type into the form (for a booking: the type of event, the date, the place and your details; a phone number only if you give one). We use them to reply to you and for nothing else.

When you sign in as a fan member

Member accounts hold your email address and display name. Where this site uses the 1vsM network sign-in, your account is held by that identity service at hiphop.world; passwords are stored hashed and nobody at this site can read yours.

Visit statistics

We count page views ourselves, without third-party analytics. For each page view we store the page address, the name of the site that linked you here (the site only, never the full link), the time, and an anonymous token that changes every day. We do not store your IP address or your browser details with it. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is counted.

Automatically

Our host records standard web-server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect our forms from forgery. It is not used for advertising.

Music and video players

Some tracks play through players from YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify or Bandcamp. A player is loaded only when you open it, and once loaded that service may set its own cookies and receive your IP address under its own privacy policy.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your personal information.
  • We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.
  • We do not email you marketing you did not ask for.
  • We do not take payments on this site. Any purchase link in the store goes to the seller named on it.

Who we share it with

Only the services needed to run the site: our web host, our email provider for replies, and the network sign-in service when you use it. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

How long we keep it

Messages and booking enquiries are kept while they are useful to answer. Membership data is kept for as long as your account exists. Ask us to delete your data and we will.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@hiphop.world and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; we will honour those requests too.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date at the top of this page. This version is effective [TO BE COMPLETED — effective date].
